If you will diligently and urgently seek My face with all your heart instead of only looking for me to manifest outwardly, I will release you into a place of freedom and rest.  This inward connection is where faith is born; it is the place where prayer is answered.  Come and commune with Me in the secret place, which is even hidden from all trouble and stress.  Come into My rest, says the Lord, and let Me establish you in peace and joy.

Matthew 6:6  But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Beloved, I have gone before you to open avenues of opportunity necessary to fulfill your purpose on the next leg of your journey. The doors are opening for you even now, but you must be alert to the possibilities and be aware of the leading of My Spirit. This will be true in the small or seemingly insignificant things of life as well as the things that could bring broad, sweeping changes. Your part is to go with the flow keeping your focus on Me, says the Lord, as you maintain complete trust and faith in Me alone. I want you to be like clay, malleable and willing to yield to the pressure of My hand through your circumstances, for there are things that still need to be reworked, shaped, and transformed into My image as you progress.

Jeremiah 18:2 -6 “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 1/18/11:

In a vision I saw the women of ancient Israel keeping watch as they waited expectantly for their warriors to come home. They were not worried that their men would not return victorious. Instead, they were excited about receiving the spoils of war. Then, over the rise the horsemen came into view. They weren’t running home as victims; they we’re marching home with dignity, their standard held high. They had engaged the enemy, the battle was arduous, but the victory was sweet. I asked the Lord about the vision, and He showed me that the warriors represent the spirit, and the women represent the soul or flesh. When we engage in spiritual warfare, we never have to fear losing the battle, and our soul should wait expectantly for the spoils of war — deliverance and blessing.

Psalm 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.

Rise up in to battle, My beloved, for victory is assured.  It has been declared that My word will not return void.  I have given you power to defeat the enemy of your soul, the one who accuses you, taunts you, and lies to you.  He will be defeated, so take hold.  But do more than that; rise up and ride on the wind of My Spirit and ride upon the power of My word.  Rise up and allow the victory that is about to unfold, to become yours by faith.  Call forth those things which you cannot yet see.  Do so by faith and declare the victory for surely it shall come unto you, says the Lord Most High.

Even though your life seems to be transitional, begin to think of the steps you take as foundational.  Don’t think that your thoughts, words, and actions are unimportant.  What you do now will actually frame and give meaning to your future.  Give thought and consider carefully what is happening in you and around you and respond according to the leading of My Spirit, says the Lord.  Deuteronomy 11:24a   Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours.

You have been stretched beyond what you consider to be your normal limitations, and the requirements on your physical, mental, and emotional resources have been taxing.  Take time to be refreshed and rejuvenated.  This only comes from spending time in My presence, for I am your source of life, energy and vitality.  Come and be renewed and restored, says the Lord.

Acts 3:19  Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 1/13/11:

I had a vision of a group of people with each one caught in a mini tornado or a whirlwind. Each whirlwind separated the people from one another, which created a sense of isolation and loneliness. Then, I was reminded of the scripture verse in Hosea 8:7 “They sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind.” And, I realized that sowing the wind relates to being troubled, bitter, agitated, angry, and impatient. When we see our trouble as greater than God’s ability or willingness to bring solutions, we lack faith and are not trusting Him. That wind will reap a whirlwind or bring a storm that we won’t enjoy.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 1/12/11:

That which has remained hidden in obscurity or in uncertainty will now come to light so that you can see clearly the path ahead of you. There will be no more guessing or assumptions or presumption, and the fear and dread can now be eradicated. You will now have the opportunity to know the reality of your circumstances and act accordingly, says the Lord.
